Last Minute vacation: where the hot now?

As each of us here at holiday vacation you may have noticed that the nights begin to withdraw and the morning be colder and darker ... Winter is on its way

What better then grab a quick tonic vacation deal and escape to the sunshine before VAT in January rises!  There are plenty of last minute holiday available at this time and holiday vacation has thousands of vacations in the next three months to choose from!

Here's our lowdown on the best vacation destinations to visit between now and January:

1. Egypt
Egypt has been very popular this year and is still very popular as we go in the winter holiday season.  Warm throughout the year, even in January Egypt have average day temperature of 22 C! There is plenty of great holiday resorts to including current Favorites on holiday vacation, Sharm El Sheikh holidays to choose from.  With beautiful hotels to including all including options and a host of historical attractions in the area to choose, Egypt is great value for money.

2. Canary Islands
A firm favourite of the winter sun, the Canary Islands offer a great short distance option for Winter Sunshine for UK holidaymakers.  Tenerife, the most popular for many, is the largest of the Canary Islands with temperatures in the 20 ′s at this time.  Another popular island, can you that Lanzarote currently offers a cheaper option if you look at the budget, such as flights to Gran Canaria and Tenerife level may be higher this time of year.

3. Spain
Cheap flights to places like Benidorm and Alicante have helped keep the Costas high on holidaymakers lists.  A facelift of the area has helped pull back tourists to Benidorm in recent years and remains a popular place for a quick week away, particularly with the kids for half term holiday.

4. Caribbean
A traditional winter sun destination, the Caribbean is a great place to relax in the sunshine on a beautiful sandy beach.  From November onwards, there are also numerous festivals and events held throughout the Caribbean Islands, offering a taste of local culture and a chance to entertain while on vacation.  November is just outside the peak tourist season in the Caribbean so holiday are cheaper in comparison with december and January.  Popular Caribbean Islands at holiday vacation at this time, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

5. Turkey
Turkey holiday have been popular all year this year a country still outside the euro area, which means that many vacation here is good value for money still compared to other destinations.  Turkey and Egypt popularity have indeed even led to speculation that the METT-region (Morocco, Egypt, Turkey and Tunisia) is becoming more popular than the MED.  Although temperatures cooler will be constantly compared with summer highs, average temperatures of 26 c are currently laid down in places like Dalaman.

Where is hot in december?: December Last Minute holiday

With Christmas just around the corner and the winter is drawing in now a great time to book last minute holidays in december.


There is a certain element of enjoyment on winter sun getaway-while your friends and family are wrapping up in scarves and gloves you on a sunlounger in the Sun on a beautiful beach relaxation!

Winter Sun holidays are sometimes seen as more expensive, as many holidaymakers choose for this time of year abroad escape to hot, long haul destinations such as Africa and the Caribbean.  However, book at the right time and allows you to great value for money on winter sun.

Where to go:
The obvious choice for most tourists during the winter months here is the Caribbean.  Book at the beginning of December in order to avoid any price increases to Christmas and new year.  There are some Caribbean deals available at the moment, many with savings of hundreds of pounds but you will have to be quick to book them!  There is a wealth of Caribbean Islands to choose from to Antigua from the Dominican Republic, with different prices and offers.

Thailand's waters are also warm and calm in december with sun warming the beautiful beaches of Koh Samui and other tourist resorts.

Egypt, a firm favorite with UK holidaymakers this year, is closer than the Caribbean for flight times and will still be warm with average temperatures are around the mid-20 C mark.  The popular holiday resorts of Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada will be featured in the high 20 c's during this month and there are many deals offered.

Africa also offers hot weather in december along with opportunities to explore on Safari and experience something new while on vacation.  Combine A beach holiday with a safari trip in somewhere such as Kenya and the best of both worlds.  You can also try the resort of Agadir on the Moroccan coast, where the Sun on the beach in december shining and the resort is protected against any Atlantic winds.

If you do not want to travel too far, the Canary Islands winter sunshine.  The chance of precipitation is highter than here say Africa but the Islands still benefit from 7-8 hours of sunshine per day, making islands such as Lanzarote, Tenerife and Gran Canaria very popular winter sun destinations for many.  Cyprus, only a 4.5 hour flight away, is still warm in december and offers many high quality hotels to choose from, in particular in areas such as Paphos and Coral Bay.
