London Culture - Art and Culture in LondonThe Southbank is a very arty and trendy area of London with the Royal Festival Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall both in South Bank Centre. Just a stones throw away is the famous Globe Theatre and National Theater.

There's a thriving art scene with the Tate Modern, Hayward Gallery and not far away the Tate Britain. Other exciting art galleries are the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square and the Royal Academy of Arts in Piccadilly.

Of the many romantic poets born in London John Keats and Lord Byron are amongst the most famous. William Shakespeare's famous Globe Theatre is on the Southbank.

London Theatre TicketsA definite must to visit whilst you are in London are the amazing theatres in Soho and the trendy area of Covent Garden. This is the center of theatre-land and also where the Royal Opera House is and where the Royal Ballet companies are based alongside the English National Opera.

London Concert TicketsThroughout the year London hosts a large number of pop concerts and throughout the year and the newly built 02 Center and Wembley are where many of the large London Concerts are held. Other popular central London venues include the Barbican Centre and the Royal Albert Hall.

London wouldn't be complete without the Proms which are of intrinsic value to London culture. These very popular classical music events are held at the Royal Albert Hall and also in Hyde Park alongside many other concerts throughout the year.

A relative newcomer to London and now in its 4th year is the Open Rehearsal program which takes place across London during September. Londoners and visitors to London can go behind the scenes of London's most exciting performing arts and cultural organisations and this year the program will also include visual arts, museums and open studios events.

London MuseumsAlthough the British Museum is the most famous of all the museums in London, there are many more stunning museums to visit. The Victoria & Albert Museum, Natural History Museum and the Sherlock Holmes Museum are just some of the many you can visit.

London FestivalsThere are many amazing amount of festivals in London and the Lord Mayor's Show is one of London's most spectacular festivals with an amazing firework display at then end of the day on the River Thames. Another not to miss is the Thames Festival which is an open-air weekend festival on the banks of the River Thames with events ranging from street performers to carnival night. Lots of fun for all.

Food in LondonLondon has undergone a culinary renaissance so eating out in London is a great experience which includes much more than the traditonal fish and chips and roast beef and yorkshire pud! London is also famous for it's pubs and pub food which are all part of the culture of not only London but the rest of England and the UK.
